Balinakill Country House
Balinakill Country House nestles on a hillside in five acres of peaceful grounds on the west side of the Kintyre Peninsula in Argyll, easily accessible by air, boat or road. This impressive baronial country house retains a wealth of period features and is set in mature gardens on the edge of the village of Clachan, one of the oldest settlements in Kintrye.
Balinakill has twelve en-suite bedrooms, three large public rooms, a fully equipped country kitchen, a formal dining room, a children's play-room and a bar with a wood burning stove. A separate catering kitchen is also available should guests wish to arrange full or partial contract catering during their stay. On arrival you will find the house warm with the fires and the stove set. The rental includes all fuel, bed linen, towels and kitchen accessories together with a small selection of toiletries and cleaning materials. Hairdryers, TVs, tea making facilities and hot water bottles are in all rooms. Full laundry and ironing facilities are available for guests' use. A list of local food producers and suppliers is available for deliveries prior to arrival. Alternatively we can provide a shopping / stocking service on request.

The bar is often a magnet for those just wanting to chat over a drink, while the dining room allows everyone to sit down to a meal together before ceilidh dancing, partying or just enjoying being together in the oak room or upstairs lounge. While staying in the house you can fill the bar with your own drinks and serve yourself, get us to stock it for you before you arrive, or hire our friendly bar staff to serve you. For functions we offer a BYOB for champagne and wine for which we charge corkage and service. If during your stay you feel the house needs a tidy, or you simply want someone to come in quietly and service the rooms, we are happy to oblige and will tailor our service to your specific requirements.
