We hired this wonderful country house for my husband’s ‘special’ birthday treat!
It is set in the most delightful surroundings in a beautiful part of the country. Even the drive to get there is lovely, we left Glasgow and drove up Loch Lomond and down Loch Fyne for a stunning 2 hour journey.
The house itself is delightful, charming and comfortable with big open fires in all the rooms and a fabulous dining room where we comfortably seated 30 people!
Charming bar and snug and if you bring along a keg of real ale and top up the optics you’ll feel you never want to leave.
Also recommend a boat trip across the water to the island of Gigha which has a very nice welcoming bar close by to the ferry!

A large party of us stayed here to celebrate my cousin’s 60th birthday. The rooms were delightful as were the surroundings. A very special place leaving us all with very special memories.

We are a group of 24 friends who take an annual trip to large houses such as Balinakill, this was our 6th outing and definitely one of the best. Balinakill Country House has excellent facilities, is warm throughout, has enjoyable countryside nearby. With few large shops nearby we would recommend planning ahead in this respect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying here.
